GoRehearse is an interview-practice service operated by Praveen Sharma, a sole proprietor based in Faridabad, Haryana, India (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use https://gorehearse.com, why we collect it, who else processes it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
We do not record or store your voice. During an interview your microphone audio is streamed through our server to Google’s Gemini API so the interviewer can respond in real time, and is discarded as it passes. No audio file is ever written to disk or to storage. What we keep is the text transcript of the conversation, which is what the feedback report is built from.
What we collect
Account information
Your email address, and your name if you provide one. Authentication is handled by Supabase; if you sign in with Google we receive your email address and name from Google, not your Google password.
What you give the interview
The job description you paste, your résumé text if you upload one, and a GitHub profile URL if you add one. Résumé files are parsed to text in your browser — we store the extracted text, not the original file.
What the interview produces
- The text transcript of the conversation, turn by turn.
- The feedback report: scores, written assessments, quotes from your own answers used as evidence, and — when you supply a résumé — an assessment of how well your spoken answers supported the claims on it.
- Interview metadata: role, duration, timestamps, and our own compute cost for the run.
Payments
We store a record of each purchase (amount, currency, status, provider reference) and your credit ledger. We never receive or store your card details. Those go directly to Razorpay (for payments in India) or Lemon Squeezy (everywhere else).
Usage and device data
Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) and analytics events describing how the site is used. See Cookies and tracking below.
Why we process it
- To deliver the service you asked for — running the interview, generating the report, applying credits. Without this data the product cannot function.
- To take payment and keep the records tax and accounting rules require.
- To keep the service working and secure — diagnosing failures, preventing abuse, and rate-limiting.
- To understand and improve the product in aggregate, and to measure our advertising.
If you are in the UK or EEA: the first three rest on performance of our contract with you and on our legitimate interests in running a secure service; the last rests on consent where required.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your résumé, transcripts or reports to train AI models, and we do not share them with employers, recruiters or any other user.
Who else processes your data
We rely on the following providers. They act on our instructions and are bound by their own terms; several are located outside your country, so using GoRehearse involves transferring your data internationally (principally to Singapore and the United States).
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Gemini API) | Runs the live interviewer and generates the feedback report. | Live audio (in transit only), transcript text, job description, résumé text. |
| Supabase | Authentication and the Postgres database. | Email, name, and everything stored in your account. |
| Fly.io | Hosts the interview server (Singapore region). | All request traffic, including live interview audio in transit. |
| Vercel | Hosts and serves the website. | Request metadata (IP, user agent) and page analytics. |
| Razorpay | Processes payments made in India. | Email and payment details. Card details go to Razorpay directly — we never receive them. |
| Lemon Squeezy | Merchant of Record for payments outside India. | Email, billing country and tax details. Card details go to them directly. |
| Sentry | Collects crash and error reports so we can fix failures. | Error messages and stack traces, plus your account ID when you are signed in. We do not send your résumé, job description or interview answers, and session recording is switched off. |
| Meta Pixel | Measures the effectiveness of our advertising. | Pseudonymous events (page view, sign-up, purchase) tied to a Meta identifier. |
Cookies and tracking
We set a cookie to keep you signed in — this is strictly necessary and cannot be turned off while you use an account. We also load the Meta Pixel and Vercel Web Analytics, which record events such as page views, sign-ups and purchases.
Separately, we set three of our own cookies, all first-party and all kept for a year: gr_aid, a random identifier for your browser; gr_attr, which records the link that first brought you here (for example a search result or a creator’s video); and gr_geo, your two-letter country as our hosting provider resolves it from your network connection. We use them to count how many people who arrive from a given link, or from a given country, go on to rehearse — which is how we decide where to spend. We store the country only, never the IP address it was derived from. They contain no name, email or address, they are never sent to anyone else, and they are not used for advertising.
If you visit from the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, these analytics and advertising cookies do not load until you accept them: you are shown a banner with an equal-weight “Accept” and “Decline”, and declining leaves them off. Your choice is remembered in a strictly-necessary cookie (gr_consent) for a year. Elsewhere they load by default on the basis described above. Wherever you are, you can also block them with browser settings or an extension. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless and is not covered by the banner.
How long we keep it
- Account, interviews, transcripts and reports — kept while your account is open, so you can revisit past rehearsals. Deleting an interview removes its transcript, blueprint and report.
- Payment and credit records — retained for up to eight years after the transaction, as Indian tax and accounting rules require, even if you delete your account.
- Server logs — a short operational window, typically under 30 days.
- Usage events — the records of pages viewed and actions taken described above. Once an account exists these are linked to it, and deleting the account deletes them with it.
Your choices and rights
Your account settings let you do the main things yourself: download a copy of everything we hold about you as a single file, and delete your account. Deleting erases your interviews, transcripts, reports and résumés straight away; your payment records are retained only for as long as tax law requires (see above) and then removed. You can also delete any individual interview from your dashboard, which removes its transcript and report.
For anything else — correction of your details, or an objection to how we process your data — email gorehearseai@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data-protection regulator.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Database access is restricted by row-level security so one account cannot read another’s data. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but interview audio is never written to storage, which removes the most sensitive category of data from the equation entirely.
Children
GoRehearse is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 to purchase credits, and at least 16 to hold an account.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your account.
